Protective and safety equipment as well as components that facilitate servicing (e.g. non-return valves, safety valves, overflow valves, shut-off valves) must be installed in accordance with national regulations and standards.
The compressor in a S1155/S1255/F1155/F1255 is inverter-controlled. The compressor’s power is adapted according to the demand and routed to heating, hot water or pool heating. If the power is not sufficient for the heating demand, additional heating is connected automatically.
The compressor in a F1145/F1245 is the on/off type. The compressor’s full power is routed to heating, hot water or pool heating. If the power is not sufficient for the heating demand, additional heating is connected automatically.

The heat pump is supplied with a heating control system, which means that the heating supply to the house takes place in accordance with selected settings. For more information about heat production, see the Installer Manual.

When connecting to a system with thermostats on all radiators (or underfloor heating coils), either a bypass valve must be fitted or some of the thermostats must be removed to ensure there is sufficient flow. Multiple heat pumps can be interconnected, by selecting one heat pump as the master and the others as slaves. The heat pump is always delivered as the master heat pump, and up to 8 subordinate heat pumps can be connected to it and supply up to 540 kW (with 9 x F1345-60 kW) in the same system. In systems with several heat pumps, each pump is given a unique name. External temperature sensors and control signals must be connected solely to the primary heat pump, except for external control of the compressor module and reversing valve(s) (QN10), which can be connected one to each heat pump.
Hot water production takes place from the compressor(s) set to produce hot water.
When there is demand for hot water, the heat pump prioritises this and switches to hot water mode. There is no heat production in this mode.
With the AXC 50 accessory, F1345/F1355 can be used to heat one or more pools.

Additional heat requires accessory AXC 40. AXC 40 can control step-controlled additional heat via a control signal. The additional heat is used for heat production.

External, step-controlled additional heat can be controlled by up to three potential-free relays in F1345/F1355 (3 step linear or 7 step binary).
With the AXC 50 accessory, a further three potential-free relays can be used for additional heat control, which then gives max 3+3 linear or 7+7 binary steps.
